The running club is off to a great start with around 25 pupils coming along per session. Pennyland has some great potential runners!
The sessions start with an easy warm up, followed by those all important stretches, some drills (high knees, skipping, straight legs etc.), and a series of short distances where the speed is gradually increased.. Now, the runners are ready for the main event! This could consist of a steady paced run, intervals or fartleks for example. It is then time for a cool down and some finishing stretches.
Please note, training will take place outside unless the weather is really severe, so please bring along suitable clothing - just in case of rain.
The club is suitable for any level. The important thing is to keep coming along and have fun!
