Parent Council

Picture 1
Pennyland Parent Council exists to give you an opportunity to get involved in your child's school. We organise fundraising activities to pay for things the children and teachers want to improve the school. Our meetings are held every second month and provide an appropriate forum to ask questions, air your views/opinions and find out more about the running of the school. If you have any questions or want to get in touch you can e-mail the Parent Council (,or leave a message in our pigeon hole in the school secretary's office.

Jessica Mowat from primary P2/3 at the time came to the Parent Council with the fabulous idea for a Buddy Bench to be put in the playground so that if a pupil was feeling lonely or looking for someone to play with they could go sit on the bench and it would be a signal to others that they were looking for a friend. With Jess’s drawing in hand we applied to the Dounreay Employee Charity Fund who were delighted with the idea and agreed to fund 2 benches one for each playground! We would like to say a massive thank you to The Dounreay Employee Charity Fund and to Jess for the idea.
