Well, we can hardly believe that it is the end of our first term in Primary 2 - what a busy time we have had. We hope the boys and girls have been coming home with all their news about what we have been learning in our class.
After the holidays Mrs Mackay will be teaching P2 on a Monday/Tuesday and Mrs Munro will be teaching on a Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.
Term 2 is always very busy and exciting with Halloween, Bonfire Night and of course...Christmas! On the first day back the pupils will be coming home with their Christmas card proof - if you would like to order any please return the slip with payment to school by Wednesday 25th October.
We hope you all have a lovely holiday whatever your plans are!
On Thursday 28th September we had an exciting day visiting our local
Co-op and Post Office!
Jenny, Fiona and Wendy were the staff who looked after us.
The children all enjoyed getting a tour around the store - their favourite part was seeing inside the big freezer! Afterwards they all got the chance to scan and weigh items on the till and go upstairs to taste some foods - there were lots of fruit and vegetables and even some chocolate for us to try...Mrs Munro tried some celery which she thought was ok.
Some boys and girls had the important job of posting Mrs Munro's letters and parcels - they even got to go behind the desk to take the money and speak in the microphone!
At the end of our visit the staff gave us all a goody bag to take home as well as biscuits and coffee for the staffroom.
A big hello and welcome to our Primary 2 class page!
We hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are ready for an exciting year ahead in P2.
Everyone has settled well after the first week and we are all getting back into school routines!
We will be sending home our newsletter next week with lots of information about what we will be learning this term and a copy will be uploaded here as well.
Mrs Mackay will be teaching P2 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday then it will be Mrs Munro on Thursday and Friday.
